Temporary Marketing Manager (Latin America) - NAMCO BANDAI - Santa Clara, CA

The Marketing Manager – Latin America is responsible for developing, managing and supporting all the marketing/channel programs and initiatives across Latin America with a focus on key territories such as Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia and others. Responsibilities include Retail and Channel Marketing, PR, Social Media, Events and general brand support as well as providing a day-to-day understanding of the local market conditions. In addition to English, this individual must have oral and written fluency in Neutral Spanish and must be confident interacting with contacts in various different circumstances. This position reports directly to the Director, Brand and Latin America Marketing and the Director, Retail & Channel Marketing. Ability to travel is a plus. Position based in San Jose headquarters office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


LatAm Marketing Campaigns & Activities Management:
Develop, align and manage the execution of localized marketing strategies for the Latin American territory


Create and manage marketing campaigns for all titles & allocate budgets for the marketing/trade plans across LatAm (Mexico, Brazil, ROLA)


Manage and lead regional teams and be the bridge between brand team and local agencies


Develop campaign summaries, track regional activities & deliver post-mortem reports


PR, Social Media & Digital Media Strategy Management:
Support the PR team with day-to-day guidance and relationship of the PR agencies in Mexico, ROLA and Brazil


Develop and manage the BNE LatAm community & digital media strategy including social media, budget allocation and digital media campaigns


Responsible for managing and having daily contact to the community agency for the whole territory (Spanish & Portuguese)


Work aligned with North America Community Manager and PR Director to schedule localized posts/updates relevant to Latin America for all franchises, as well as provide key feedback to the North American team regarding consumer sentiment


Assets Management:
Help in the localization process of assets to BrPo and NeuSp for all titles


Coordination of LatAm asset releases distribution to all partners


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS


Minimum 2 years experience in various marketing categories


Direct relevant experience working in Latin America


Experience working for companies outside Latin America on Latin America territory


Experience working in entertainment/video game/technology industries is a plus


Oral and written fluency in Standard Spanish


Brazilian Portuguese fluency is a plus


Attention to detail and passion to continually improve service and business performance


Agility and resourcefulness in problem solving across different departments, product categories, internal/external partners, different countries, time zones and languages


Successful management of multiple complex projects and proven track record of project management


Strong team player who works with internal and external partners effectively


Experience and understanding of consumer marketing, PR and retail marketing fundamentals


Experience in supporting sales, channel marketing and partnering with major retailers


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other business-related discipline
