Global LT provides private, customized language training for corporate employees and their families around the world. We are looking for a part-time tutor of English as a second language (ESL) for a client in Hallandale Beach, FL. Please note that this is a part-time, independent contractor position and that we cannot provide relocation assistance or sponsorship.

This client has relocated from Argentina for her husband’s corporate assignment.

CLIENT: Adult female Spanish speaker
CURRENT LEVEL: Novice-mid
REQUESTED SCHEDULE: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10:00-11:30 a.m. (somewhat flexible)
LOCATION: Client’s apartment in Hallandale Beach (E Hallandale Beach Blvd and S Ocean Dr)
START DATE: As soon as possible
NO. OF HOURS: Up to 100 hours available
OBJECTIVES: Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Conversation, Grammar

Our tutors are independent contractors who create their own lessons and select materials to be used. Many are adjunct instructors or retired teachers who teach with us to supplement their income.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience teaching ESL, adult literacy, and/or developmental English. The tutor must also be willing to meet with the client at the requested location. Certification is not required, but we give strong consideration to additional formal training.
