Position Title: Latin America Privacy Lead - Teva Pharmaceuticals - Weston, FL
In this position you will serve as the Latin America Privacy Lead and your position will report into Teva’s West Region Privacy Officer. You will join a team of Regional Privacy Officers and professionals while working as part of the Global Compliance Department. You will be responsible for assisting the West Region Privacy Officer in overseeing all activities related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide data privacy program. You will be a key advisor offering strategic vision to Latin America and various corporate business functions across Teva to ensure business activities, IT systems and Company programs are in compliance with local data protection law requirements and Teva’s data privacy policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Developing, implementing and maintaining organizational privacy policies, procedures and guidelines in compliance with local data protection laws and in coordination with organizational leadership, the Privacy compliance oversight structure, IT and legal counsel.
Serving as an advisor and strategic business partner to ensure data privacy requirements are incorporated in Enterprise-wide systems, business activities and programs.
Managing and overseeing filings and contacts with data protection authorities.
Developing, conducting and raising awareness of data protection issues and legal and compliance requirements.
Executing and on-going management of implementation plan for cross-border data transfers.
Managing privacy incidents/breaches and cases.
Monitoring and auditing privacy compliance and overseeing and managing remediation of privacy issues.
Measure effectiveness, performance and quality of privacy controls, processes and tools across technical environments.
Liaising with privacy and security officials within our delegated entities, third-party vendors/administrators, joint ventures and subsidiaries to assure our ability to manage privacy and security across our extended enterprise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in in Law, Business, Health Information Management, Healthcare, or related field Post-Graduate Degree in Business or Law preferred. Additional degree or certification, JD, CPA, MBA preferred. 5 years of combined experience in data protection, legal, compliance and healthcare industry experience. Experience in other areas of compliance, multi-channel marketing and related technology, mobile applications, websites, e-Health initiatives, patient support programs, pharmacy data management, call centers, project management and/or CRMs is desirable. Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed: Data Privacy Certifications, Healthcare Compliance Certifications, IT Certifications Bilingual. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese is preferred. Data protection laws and regulations, Implementing data privacy compliance programs and basic understanding of and interest in IT infrastructure and systems Knowledge of or interest in pharmaceutical industry desirable. Excellent analytical skills, ability to analyse business needs and issues, define solutions that lead to good business decisions.Experience developing and implementing data privacy compliance programs and conducting privacy assessments Ability to conduct educational sessions for a variety of audiences (associates at all levels and suppliers) Demonstrate team commitment and contributes to the implementation of organizational vision and values Ability to provide leadership, strategic direction and affirms that associates of the organization adhere to regulatory mandates regarding privacy and confidentiality Well-organised and able to prioritise and manage multinational projects from different locations and in different time zones Proactively identify problems and opportunities, and presents recommendations to management Willing to travel for at least 25% of the working time.
