Global Supplier Enablement Lead - Cargill - Hopkins, MN

Cargill Business Services (CBS) is a global organization that envisages the accelerated use of shared services. Its purpose is to bring a smarter, more efficient approach to how we provide shared services to Cargill. That way business units and functions can focus on what they do best. Five functions are in scope – HR, IT, Finance, Transport & Logistics and Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. These services will be delivered in Six Centers based in Bangalore (India), Sofia (Bulgaria), Nanjing (China), San Jose (Costa Rica), Uberlandia (Brazil) and Rosario (Argentina).

This position is a project based role anticipated to last 18-24 months


. This role will be a member of a multi-functional team (FSS & CSSP) focused on the global implementation of procure to pay transformation projects. These projects will include, but not limited to, process redesign and technology implementations (Ariba/Lexmark) in support of the global shared service and functional strategies. Success of this program will be delivered in the form of reduced transactional costs in both procurement and accounts payable, increased spend visibility and compliance, reduction in working capital requirements and increased supplier satisfaction.


The Global Supplier Enablement Lead will drive the development of the global supplier enablement strategy and promote internal and external change management. Once developed, this role will work collaboratively the regional project supplier enablement leads and functions to implement a best in class supplier enablement program globally and promote the initiative internally with category managers, procurement, and AP group as well as externally with suppliers.


Principal Accountabilities


40% Supplier Enablement Strategy Development & Execution:
Responsible for developing a global supplier enablement strategy and processes, infrastructure, and materials necessary to execute that strategy. Also responsible for education, transition, testing and support of suppliers and all internal stakeholders pre and post implementation. Ensure alignment of global vs. regional supplier enablement strategy execution by partnering with regional project supplier enablement leads. Create a sustainable strategy for on-boarding suppliers with the regions


25% Policies and Compliance:
Work with appropriate functions to establish appropriate supplier compliance policies and enforcement strategies to ensure program adherence with identified suppliers and internal stakeholders as a part of change management for the program. Support Change, Communications and Education (CCE) by providing strategies that are aligned with best practices both inside and outside of Cargill


20% Process Improvement:
Partner with P2P functional lead(s) to ensure alignment of supplier enablement strategy with global process design balancing regional requirements where needed. Look for and suggest areas of process improvement for P2P.


15% Data & Analysis:
Partner with program data lead to support appropriate data cleansing prior to implementation. Perform detailed supplier analysis to prioritize the onboarding of suppliers to the Ariba network. Work with technical team to develop standards for supplier interface to Ariba requirements to enable success when interfaced with Cargill ERP’s.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications


Bachelors degree


10 years’ experience in a procurement, supply chain or finance role


Prior supplier enablement or P2P transformation experience


Knowledge of P2P industry best practices and understanding of end to end P2P process and impacts to functions


Ability to take a concept and turn it into a working strategy and process with little supervision


Exhibited leadership behaviors – specifically in influencing skills to quickly drive to execution


Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively


Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with global audiences


Demonstrated ability to analyze, identify trends and solve complex problems


Ability to create a collaborative environment especially with different cultures globally


Highly motivated, self-directed and action oriented


MS Office proficiency


Ability to meet early morning or late evening to accommodate meetings globally on occasion


Ability to conduct and attend meetings via electronic format (i.e. Skype, conference calls, etc.)


Ability to travel up to 20% including internationally
