About You

You’re a GIS professional who’s got hands on experience processing, analyzing and visualizing data using a number of different tools, especially QGIS and Arc. You know the ins and out of QGIS and can easily show Arc users how to do the same task using QGIS’s capabilities — or you know the right plugins to install to get it done. You can spot a bug when it pops up, you can script a little python and hopefully you’re active in the FOSS4G community. You want to drive open source forward and know it will take work – but you want to do it anyways.

About the Job

Responsibilities

In this role you’ll develop documentation, tutorials, training courses and demo’s which demonstrate how to perform all sorts of amazing things using QGIS and other open source GIS tools. You’ll contribute to forums, answer questions and help customers successfully make the transition to an open source platform. You’ll communicate with developers to fix bugs, identify improvements and add new features.

Qualifications :

• At least 5 years of experience working as a GIS analyst, cartographer or closely related field.
  


• In depth knowledge of QGIS and ArcMap, including extensions and add ons.
  


• Experience with multiple vector and raster formats and storage services (i.e. databases)
  


• Solid understanding of Web Mapping, OGC services
  


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, but the more languages the better
  

The ideal candidate also offers:

• Experience with Python development
  


• Experience with GeoServer, PostGIS, OpenLayers, GeoNode, GeoGig and other open source GIS software

Dr. Vicuna is an alumnus of UOP, class of 2004. When not practicing dentistry, he likes to spend his spare time visiting family in Argentina, soccer, listening to music, and going to concerts. He has a passion for helping others, and volunteers in the

Davis is a community known for being a student town. The office is located next to UC Davis. 50% of the current patient base is students. This office also serves many of the university staff/post doc, and families that live in Davis. This office has

a very high new patient count. It is located very close to the freeway, as well as downtown Davis. You have other popular areas just within reach, such as the ones below.

A little about the team

Dr. Vicuna currently has two PT Associate at this practice, one of which is leaving, due to a relocation to the bay area. He also has 2 RDH’s. He has a strong front office staff, skilled RDA’s, and an exceptional office manager. He also choose to integrate

specialties into his practice, so he has a periodontist, endodontist, and an oral surgeon, which practice several days per month in his practice.
