Your Function:
Be able to manage a small Unix technical team

Be the SME on Solaris and Linux Operating systems

Familiar with Oracle and HP Hardware

Provide day to day support for Linux and Solaris Systems, Netbackup, SAN and Firewall Infrastructure

Ensure systems are patched according to patching policy

Ensure vulnerabilities are addressed according to policy

Be escalation point for any issues in the Unix team

Able troubleshoot complex technical problems and be able to remediate through direct action or action plans

Able to provide redundant and scalable technical solutions for upcoming projects.

Provide Project Management for local projects

Liaise with members of local and global teams, developers, security, network, etc.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Recommend information technology strategies, policies and procedures

Able to liaise with internal and external audit

Your Profile:
Five to Ten Years of experience in Unix/Linux environment providing administration and support

Managing a small technical team

Some experience in Veritas Netbackup, Veritas Storage Foundation Suite

Shell scripting

Some Experience in Firewalls and SAN

Some Windows Server experience desirable
