Your Function:
FAR is Rabobank’s knowledge centre in Food & Agribusiness (F&A) and Clean Tech (CT), globally organised. Fundamental to FAR is our research role. We build extensive knowledge on F&A and CT sectors and companies. We bring our knowledge to the client at boardroom level and convert our knowledge into business ideas, facilitating new F&A business for the bank.

Key responsibilities:
Client engagement

Engage and gain access to executives and boardrooms of priority clients in his/her sector by delivering thought leadership on key strategic questions in collaboration with global sector heads and regional RMs.

Research

Develop unique value added research outputs beyond the standard reports that deliver thought leadership on key strategic questions to the Bank’s priority clients in the global sectors.

In cooperation with the Global Manager Research, develop FAR’s global research agenda for a F&A sector, including the delivery of a portfolio of research outputs for stakeholders and clients in the sector that allows FAR to demonstrate and deliver thought leadership.

Team Coordination

Plan capacity needs for GST research in consultation with the Global Manager-region (people , data & subscriptions).

Coordinate GST members to ensure delivery of research outputs agreed in the global research agenda. Second line manager.

Act as second line manager responsible for the technical analysts of FAR Global Research.

Internal stakeholders

Present FAR global F&A sector outputs to internal stakeholders and external clients.

Develop a view on the strategic positioning of the top 300 target companies in the global sectors. Use this in generating ideas that contribute to an increased share wallet.

Profiling

Profile the bank in external media and elsewhere as the thought leader in 1 of the global F&A sectors.

Advisory

Originate strategic advisory for the top 300 clients and prospects in consultation with global sector team leader, and manage execution and delivery.

Your Profile:
10 years research and consultancy experience in the F&A business complex

Post-graduate qualifications in economics, agriculture, business or related field

Track record of analytical and strategic research excellence

In-depth specific sector knowledge and a broad understanding of the international F&A industry and its players

Strong commercial and industry networks in 1 of the global F&A sectors

Knowledge of commercial banking business and RI products

Proven ability to functionally manage projects and people across a global span
