Product Support Clerk - Dole Food Company, Inc. - Plant City, FL

The Product Support Clerk understands the quality control and records the data necessary to notify the growers, vendors and internal customers. This position also supports the Product Support Coordinator and assumes responsibility of other clerical duties assigned by the QA/QC and Notifications Departments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Collect and Input Quality Data from all berry growing regions such as Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Chile, and U.S
  


• Analyze quality data and report trends, statistics and issues to internal departments as well as growers
  


• Review Quality Control reporting for accuracy prior to making it available to the grower
  


• Collect and input production data
  


• Investigate, review and communicate customer and/or quality rejections with the growers and internal departments that are involved
  


• Create and maintain rejection and quality files
  


• Analyze and review out of tolerance pack outs and communicate deficiency to growers
  


• Communicate data logs with corresponding departments
  


• Collect all inventory reports for the team
  

Required Skills

SKILLS:

• PC Skills: knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Lotus Notes and the internet with quick and accurate typing skills
  


• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  


• Strong written/verbal communication skills
  


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask
  


• Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers while demonstrating a positive, professional attitude

Required Experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Degree or equivalent required
  


• Experience with the quality control process and applicable reports
  


• Experience and understanding of the USDA guidelines as to quality of berries and transportation of berries
