Transportation - Integration & Environment Lead - PepsiCo - Plano, TX
PepsiCo has deployed a suite of software tools to make up the Transportation Management Systems (TMS) in the North America and Global Sectors. Over the past 10 years, PepsiCo has deployed and extended the TMS solution to North America food and beverage supporting the FLNA, Quaker, Tropicana, PAB and PBC divisions. Recently, TMS was extended to manage all transportation activities for PepsiCo’s brokerage business, PepsiCo Logistics Company, which supports transportation for our customers. In the past few years, BIS and PepsiCo Global Operations have expanded TMS to leverage a simplified toolset of the JDA packaged software, Transportation Manager & Planner, integrated into global sectors. Today, these systems and our team manages/optimizes over $1.8B of PepsiCo’s transportation annual business including private Over-the-Road (OTR) shipments, 3rd party carriers, and even rail distribution. The TMS program will include significant project expansion in 2016-2017 and further new market expansions within each sector (i.e. Thailand, Russia, Argentina, Chile, etc.) The TMS Integration & Environment Lead will own TIBCO BW integration solution for all TMS program interfaces. The role will serve as a technical integration SME and functional SME on the transportation solutions used for PepsiCo’s global business. The role will be responsible for driving continuous improvements to the integration architecture between our 3rd Party JDA solution and custom web applications for transportation. The role will partner and own the implementation and configuration of the Global Logistics Common Framework (GLCF) in its use for transportation planning and management. The integration lead will also review all development deliverables of code/design to ensure best practices of TibCo development/design are being implemented with PepsiCo managed services partners. As the TMS program portfolio spans four PepsiCo sectors (NA, ESSA, AMENA, LAR) supported in separate compute instances , the environment lead will also be responsible for managing/coordinating testing for project delivery, stack upgrades, and release management across multiple environments (DEV, SIT, UAT & PROD). This individual will also acts as a Level 3 support and instance SME to aid in resolution of critical system issues. Accountabilities:
