Software Engineer in Test - MuleSoft - San Francisco, CA

Test Automation Engineers at MuleSoft are sharp with great analytical skills to handle complex integration validation of MuleSoft product portfolio with advanced technologies and state of the art automation tools. We are fast paced group and growing fast. The team handles entire functional, regression and automation aspects of deliverables. You will be working with teams in Argentina and San Francisco handling automation aspects for our Anypoint integration and Anypoint API platform technologies that support both on premise and SasS mode of delivery.

About the Position:

• Review requirements, functional specifications and come up with automation test strategies for MuleSoft products


• Responsible for planning and automating functional and system level tests for Mulesoft products across diverse OS and other industry standard technologies


• Designing and adding automated test scripts, adding common libraries, maintaining automation frameworks or adding new frameworks


• Execute automated test suites, identify issues in automation, build efficiency and ensure that automation runs daily in CI environment


• Send out automation test reports and publish results to engineering division


• Liaising with developers and managers on technical issues, impact and risk areas


• Overseeing software defect tracking and regression for identified project releases


• Driving the integrity and quality of technical work on significant projects


• Establishing and maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of all work including status updates to summarize project highlights


• Serving in a test lead capacity on projects of moderate complexity, where coordination with other engineers is required

About You:

• A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline


• Mastery of industry standard commercial, open source or natively developed automation technologies or standard unit test frameworks is required


• Prior experience in architecting, designing and developing of automation frameworks from scratch is highly desirable


• Great development skills, Computer Science fundamentals and elegance in your work


• Prior experience with Agile development methodologies, and with continuous integration/automated build/deployments preferred


• Fast learner and multitasker with a strong sense of ownership over the work you do


• Innovative & creative problem solver with strong analytical skills


• Proven ability to prioritize, organize and deliver on commitments


• Exceptional attention to detail


• Are able to pick up new technologies with ease


• Required to collaborate with other team members to build automation for complex products
