Program Coordinator/Guide (Freelance) - The Austral Group - Seattle, WA

RESPONSIBILITIES


We are currently looking for Program Coordinators/Guides for San Francisco and Seattle. As Austral Group Program Coordinator you will be responsible for accompanying groups of students, primarily MBA or other graduate level, and professors to business meetings, university seminars, and on tourism activities. You will be requested to assist with the coordination of final logistics of these company visits and activities, as well as communicate and liaise with local bus drivers, tourism providers, hotel staff and other key components of event and meeting planning. Weekend and some evening work required.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • Complete knowledge of local area, basic facts about population, economy, politics and culture, different neighborhoods, and local business environment

  • Advanced or Native English-speaking, other languages a plus

  • Comfortable in leading large groups to different locations by bus, public transportation and walking

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on superior client satisfaction

  • Ability to work well independently and with little supervision

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and excellent time management skills

  • Positive and proactive attitude

  • Interest and excitement in sharing your city (cities) with international travelers, introducing typical local customs and/or iconic locations, foods, etc.

Program Coordinators are hired on an “as needed” and per project basis. Projects typically last for one-week periods, spanning multiple groups per year.
