Responsibilities
In this role you will develop custom, spatially-enabled applications and SaaS products for our premier clients.
Develop end-user applications from prototype phase to production
Collaborate with our clients and peers at Boundless to deliver high-quality functionality and end-user experience
About you:
Solid coding skills and Computer Science fundamentals
At least 3 years of experience developing web applications using HTML5, CSS and one or more JavaScript web app frameworks such as Backbone, ExtJS, Angular, etc.
At least 3 years of experience developing in Python
Experience with one or more frameworks like Node, Lift, Django, Flask etc.
Understanding of infrastructure automation platforms like Chef, Ansible, etc.
Experience consuming REST APIs and working with service oriented architectures
Understanding of security, cross-browser, cross-platform issues and accessibility standards
Solid skills in professional web application development practices (developing wireframes, testing, source code management using Git, continuous integration, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in an agile environment
In a perfect world, you’d also have:
Experience building geospatial applications using OpenLayers or similar frameworks
Experience with Java development
Experience with GeoNode, GeoSHAPE, or equivalent platform
Strong opinions on how to pronounce GDAL and OGR
