As the Head of Corporate Communications Americas you will:
Develop and set the strategic communication direction for LANXESS, its affiliates and Business Units within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
Represent the company as a spokesperson with key media representatives regarding implementation of public relations strategy and media requests. Has an extensive network of journalists/media relation contacts.
Direct the development and implementation of regional proactive, integrated market communication programs that support the marketing and sales goals of LANXESS Business Units including public relations, branding, advertising, tradeshows, intranet and internet.
Provide regional employees with target-group-specific information about current events and developments in the company. Channels include an employee magazine, intranet, posters and bulletin boards, video messages and employee events.
Direct and provide proactive environmental and crisis communication strategy and leads communications activities to appropriately handle crisis situations.
Advise management of opportunities to enhance or modify the organization’s image.
Direct establishment and maintenance of communications with elected officials and various government agencies.
Prepare communications such as news releases, speeches, publications, or events to convey the desired brand and image.
In order to accomplish this you will possess:
Degree in Business Administration, PhD in Organic Chemistry
10 years of related experience
Leadership experience is required
International experience is required
Project Management experience is preferred
A native English speaking candidate is preferred. Additionally, language proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish as wellas a working knowledge of the German language is helpful.
