Job Description

Principal Consultant


Ericson is looking for a Principal Consultant in the TV and Media domain to lead Consulting engagements. The position requires strong understanding of TV and Media Business drivers and trends combined with knowledge of end to end video delivery architecture and technology. Candidate will drive or participate in customer engagements from lead generation to contract fulfillment, securing that consulting projects are fulfilled with quality, in time and within budget. Candidate will work closely with the customer to be able to propose improvements and identify new business opportunities. These engagements will often be transformative in nature requiring candidate to be perceived by client as highly trustworthy and domain credible. Candidate may also be asked to support development of new TVM Consulting offers and assist account teams in presales engagements. The candidate must be willing to travel internationally and extensively.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Grow Ericsson’s TVM Consulting Business

Identify innovate profitable business opportunities

Analyze customer and user offerings, market scenarios, customer go to market strategy.

Drive sales engagements

Perform up-selling and identify add-on sales opportunities

Deliver consulting projects, managing risks and time within consultant assignments

Develop consulting practice capabilities

Share project learning and contribute to Thought Leadership

Experience :
7+ years Consulting experience within a Media and Entertainment practice

5+ years Management Consulting experience

Understanding of emerging Video business models and business strategies being used by different players

Ability to articulate value propositions and business models to customer C level executives

Successful at, and open to additional delivery work as a project lead in TVM engagements

Accountable for producing deliverables like an Assessment of an existing media delivery infrastructure, or “Transformation” across people, process and technology

Understanding of video service value chain, ecosystem and business drivers impacting the migration of residential video service delivery to IP-based multi-screen solutions with rich user applications

Familiarity with OTT applications including delivery of multi-screen video content and applications, and Video Middleware architectures and products

End to end video work flow

Driven to excel with excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to engage C-levels


Location : Flexible location, the position can be based in any Regional Offices Globally (eg: USA, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Germany , UK, Kuwait, India, Australia e.t.c )
