Provide best execution practices across a broad range of emerging market fixed income instruments and asset classes, both local currency and external debt through cash and derivative products. Develop and market trade ideas for external customers. Analyze economic, social, and political developments and perform credit analyses for Latin America, with a special focus on Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, and Brazil. Employ quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to identify short term and long term business opportunities in the region. Inform internal groups and external sophisticated investors of current and projected market-related events and statistics which may affect the price of fixed income securities and subsequently client investment decisions. Meet with clients periodically to enhance understanding of specific investment needs. Maintain established and solicit new relationships with banks and brokers across Latin America, Europe and USA. Trade emerging markets with a focus on clients in Latin America. Possess a first rate understanding of the relationships between domestic participants in these markets as well as deep understanding of the region’s history and ongoing political developments. Interact with regulators, markets and Latin American clients requiring use and analysis of bond mathematics, credit risk factors and implications for risk management.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years of experience as a Director, President, Vice President, or related occupation. Requires seven (7) years of experience in trading emerging markets with a focus on Latin America. Requires demonstrated knowledge of local markets and external debt trading with strong competency in both cash and derivative products. Requires knowledge of local and international trading accounts and demonstrated understanding of local regulations. Requires demonstrated risk management and risk-taking skills as well as principal risk taking abilities.
