Job Description: We have an immediate need for a HR Director of the
Americas to join the leader in color and glass science,
particle engineering, surface application and
formulation to create performance coatings, colors,
glass pigments and oxides manufacturing. This
billion-dollar company has manufacturing plants in 28
countries innovating ceramics, electronics, specialty
plastics, glass and other technologies. Their products
are used in commercial, residential, electronics,
appliances, transportation, and industrial products.
Responsible for leadership of the HR team in the US and
Latin America that includes associates in the US,
Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela. You
will ensure compliance with legal requirements,
established HR processes and support of
business/corporate initiatives. Teams up with VP of the
Americas to support achievement of operational
objectives and implementation of business strategy.
Responsible for establishing HR strategy, functional
priorities, development and succession planning.

Responsibilities: Coordinates with key business and HR managers in the
region to ensure that business objectives are achieved.
Ascertains functional priorities and determines actions
necessary to implement in region.
Heads labor contract negotiations and relationships with
unions and works councils.
Leads Regional HR team through regular communications,
goal-setting and development
Directs OLR process for the region to assess
bench-strength and develop talent for the future.
Leads the recruitment of key positions.
Provides HR due diligence for acquisitions in the
region.
Identifies synergies and participates in integration
planning and implementation.
Liaisons with Director, Compensation & Benefits to
determine appropriate merit pools for each country
Ensures that annual compensation processes are completed
in a timely and compliant manner.
Accountable for HR systems processes for region within
the Workday platform.
Job Requirements:Qualifications: BA in related area required
Minimum 10+ years of HR experience,
Previous experience leading an international HR team
preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated capability in talent management,
compensation & benefits, labor relations and HR
systems/processes.
Ability to speak and read Spanish highly valued
Travel 30%
Chemical Industry / Materials experience is a plus.
MBA or MA is a plus
Professional HR Certifications (PHR/ SPHR) Training are
a plus.
