Business Overview:
Global Market Client Service team supports the GM Americas as organization and its many business lines including Fixed Income, Equity Trading, Prime Brokerage, Structured Products, Commodity Derivatives and the tam supports some non GM activities mainly ALM and BP2S. The GMA organization has a diverse product base across the métiers and has a Senior Management organization including a COO and many business managers in New York that oversees North America and Latam GM activities with Global Management in Paris and London. GMA offers to clients, mainly Institutional Investors and Hedge Funds, access to Global Markets and delivers innovative and dedicated equity, fixed income and commodity products as well solutions through research, trading and sales of derivatives. GM also offers financing through Repos, prime brokerage, securities lending and synthetic financing, and provides an integrated and growing fixed income and equity brokerage business with a range of research, sales, trading and execution services around the world.

Responsibilities:
The Role is responsible for assisting with the production of daily, weekly and monthly management reports, as well as assist in the analyzing and monitoring the daily and monthly results of the Global Markets and BP2S businesses for the US territory, Canada Brazil and Argentina.


The candidate will be involved, either independently or assisting, in production of financial and management weekly and monthly Global Markets results including Revenues, Expenses, RWA, Central costs from both a business level and lower desk level reporting as required.


The candidate will also be required to support the annual Budget and periodic Forecast exercises by working closely within the team and with the local métier and coordination with the Central Cdg teams in Paris and London.


The role also requires:
The assistance with the preparation of many ad-hoc requests and analysis requested by the geographical head of GM métier, as well as, the GM COO of the region and the business managers for the activities. Also extensive coordination and coordination with the central Cdg team in Paris.


The supporting of many key automation projects the team is either leading or involved with such as working with the PBI IT team to automate the PB sales and client reports including transition of the PB client and sales historical data the team maintains to PB IT.


The candidate will work with other Functions and Finance teams as we support the legal entity close process, produce reports to assist with Audit inquires, and support regulatory filings and help substantiate material variances on the legal entities related to GM activities.


Specific Responsibilities:
Prepare month end reports and analysis to distribute to GMA senior management including a full income statement by Business line that is reconciled/aligned with Central Cdg.


Assist in the preparation of the annual Budget and forecast at business line level and helping in the communication and reconciliation of all such results with the Paris Central Cdg team.


Prepare templates for expenses and allocation keys to be uploaded by the production staff


Where required assist the Finance production teams during month end close to ensure accuracy of Legal entity LAP ledgers


Produce Apollo Client contribution allocation to PB Synthetic clients globally and reconcile Apollo Cash PB and Synthetic results to Primo.


Liaise with FO, MO & IT in coordinating, communicating and resolving Apollo related issues.


Supports the Team’s PB reporting automation projects involving engagement with PBIT and FPO team to help automate the PB Client and Sales data and reports we currently maintain and produce.


Analyze, reconcile, and review business activities with GMA by performing a variance analysis of corresponding expenses vs budgets, highlighting trends, and following up on questions and/or concerns


On a timely basis, provide complete and accurate financial data to the Regions Transversal Reporting Team for America’s region report production present to the Americas CIB head and senior territory management.


Assist in preparing Ad-hoc reports as needed for Business managers and Desk heads and help reviewing the reports generated by others on the Team where needed


Provide assistance in responding to questions from the Finance production, Regulatory, Operations, Business management and other groups within CIB


Work on special projects at the request of the team leader, Region Finance heads or in some cases for the GM COO.


Assist in identifying process improvements in production, control procedures, and workflow organization to increase the team’s efficiency and effectiveness


Adhere to the bank’s policies and procedures


Provide cross-training to colleagues


Perform specific duties as assigned when needed (e.g. coverage for colleagues out of office)


Qualifications:
Business or Math degree from a reputable university.


At least 5 years of work experience in finance or accounting preferably within a global financial services company.


Basic knowledge of accounting principles and business concepts related Banking business particularly within Equity or fixed Income business areas.


Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Microsoft office tools (Powerpoint, Word, etc) and preferably familiarity with BNP Performance management tools (Vinci, Paradigm, Primo, Plato, etc)


Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills


Strong communication skills


Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams in a deadline-focused environment
