Traffic Coordinator - CST Industries, Inc. - DeKalb, IL

We are looking for a Traffic Coordinator in our DeKalb, IL location.

SUMMARY: Coordinate shipping (in & out of customer/purchased deliveries and shipments, inter-plant & customer revenue). Primary customer contact to arrange all shipments of MIP and AG sales orders. Work closely with customers, accounting, project management, and production planners to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Shipping Responsibilities:
Primary shipping agent-customer contact

Writes, types, or enters information into computer to prepare bills of lading, invoices, and all other shipment related documents

Handles all booking and coordination of domestic and international shipments

Tracks shipments (daily financials) and generates reports for internal reporting

Tracks all active AG orders to ensure timely delivery and accurate packing

Provides all export and customs paperwork for international shipments

Hazmat paperwork (need training and certification < 6 months from hire date)

Assist in inventory control

Back up to shipping clerk

Customer Service Responsibilities:
Provide the best service possible-positive attitude

Communicate with Project Management, Sales when issues with scheduling shipments arise

Track and communicate all scheduled deliveries and shipments on an internal level

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
H.S. Diploma.Associates Degree preferred.

5 yrs. In a Manufacturing environment with

5 yrs. Planning experience

3 yrs. Logistics experience

Basic shipping concepts
