You will take part in strategy, planning, operations and day to day management of Mindshare’s Internet.org team located in Mindshare Portland.
Internet.org lead global initiative tasked to connect the remaining 2/3 of the world to the internet. – Lifting users out of poverty, providing resources such as job postings, health information, weather, news, etc.

Reporting structure:
You will report directly to the Internet.org Media Planner.
The Role:
As the Assistant Media Planner working on Internet.org, you’ll get a chance to join the most exciting Mindshare office in the world and work on one of the biggest names in the advertising industry.
Your primary role will be to support the Media Planning team in the creation & execution of media plans based on client briefs
1. Master use of various tools & processes, including pulling reports, setting up campaigns, and monitoring media trafficking process.
2. Study demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for specific media vehicles, including lifestyles and psychographics.
3. Assist in maintaining flowcharts/plans and developing media delivery analysis.
4. Manage client & vendor budgets, working through discrepancies when necessary.
5. Learn/utilize appropriate planning tools, MRI, ComScore, Nielsen, etc,,, to pull reports for use in media plans.
6. Develop knowledge of new and emerging media and technologies to continually enhance campaign execution by reading industry publications/sites and newsletters.
7. Master Keynote & Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Maintain high level of work quality. You will be dealing directly with vendors, negotiations, etc. as well as helping your reports lead the local teams on campaign strategy and execution. The Person
You are most likely starting your career with less than 2 years of experience, potentially right out of college. If you have more, we’d love to hear it! What we’re mainly focused on is a great attitude, advanced mathematical (excel) skills, a good history of challenging yourself, a person that thrives in a team environment, an advanced communicator and detail oriented. We look forward to hearing examples of all of these from your past experience.
