You will lead strategy, planning, operations, reporting and day to day management of all Utility campaigns
The Platform Utility team is one of the fastest growing global initiatives, responsible for developer relations, product launches, new analytic offerings, etc.

Reporting structure:
You will work directly with & report to the Global Comms Director– Alan Trinkle. Team members will be available to assist but this position is primarily set up to be autonomous (one person running the show, activation, trafficking, reporting, etc.)
The Role:
As a supervisor working on Platform Utility support, you’ll get a chance to join the most exciting Mindshare office in the world and work on one of the biggest names in the advertising industry.
Your role will be to lead the immediate campaigns for Facebook’s developer outreach and long term vision of how we interact within the media landscape.
You’ll have to manage the day to day relationship with our clients, the creative teams (internal at Facebook, external, etc.), collaborate closely with our local teams around the world when needed, drive innovation, new thinking, setup new process, tools, reporting and to lead the MS Portland Platform Utility initiative.
You will be dealing directly with vendors, negotiations, etc. on a global scale. This will primarily be a digitally focused initiative covering any/all of the following markets: NA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Russia, Israel, Nordics, CEE, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Columbia.
There will potentially be event sponsorship/activations with traditional media attached but a strong digital background is top priority. Programmatic buys, search, email, social, etc. are of extreme interest. Atlas ad serving and capabilities will be part of day-to-day work so any history there is a bonus.
Your focus will be on delivering the best every day, on ensuring 100% client satisfaction and best in class media thinking.
The Person
Ultimately, we need someone who has robust, digital media experience, intermingled with account management experience. One who gets how communications planning and media work together and wants to revolutionize the way we operate as a team.
The person we hire will have to be a ‘self starter’. This team structure is brand new, so you’ll have to be someone who can drive a vision and be independent. Innovation, efficiency, & problem solving is something which needs to be front and center of your day to day. We work on a quick-moving client activating media in some of the most difficult places around the world so that needs to be something you’re OK with.
Manage the account like clockwork, know the detail and be able to dream big.
Principal accountabilities:
1. Account management
- Run the day to day client relationships
2. Planning
- Influence the briefing approach by providing innovative media thinking/insights in the campaign development process.
- Build out the consumer landscape
- Lead development of global media playbooks, assisting in the conversion of idea to execution from global campaign creation to new territory planning.
- Develop and present plans to global clients.
- Prepare ongoing campaign report document identifying key actionable learning.
3. Media Innovation
- Lead the identification of innovative targeting capabilities against the unconnected.
- Attend, Participate and lead briefing, brainstorms, ideation sessions.
- Work closely with agency partners (creative or media, global or local) to bring innovation to life.
4. Territory management
- Not immediate but potential to work with local Mindshare offices globally (London, Singapore, etc.)
5. Relationships
- Continuing to develop close relationships with senior clients, our colleagues at other agencies and potential media partners.
- Potential travel to SFO on a weekly basis
