Rodale is currently seeking an Advertising Sales Assistant to support the Runner’s World, the global leader in Running, and Bicycling magazine’s New York sales teams. The position rewards those who have a passion for the running/cycling/healthy lifestyle and possess strong communication and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should be organized, self-motivated, have positive can-do attitude, and possess the ability to thrive in a fun, fast paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Assist sales team in the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFPs)
Communicate directly with advertising clients & agencies
Analyze marketing trends and competition through all media platforms to assist sales team in lead generation
Coordinate travel and meeting arrangements
Manage day-to-day business needs with direct reports
Travel to select events nationwide
Support Runner’s World sales management with weekly publishing projects
Qualifications:
College degree
Publishing, marketing and digital experience a plus
Strong organizational skills and the ability project manage
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems
Strong written, verbal and math skills
Strong computer skills with proficiency in database programs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
