RESPONSIBILITIESWhat are the primary responsibilities and accountabilities of this role?
– Responsible for internal/employee communications.
– Works within team structure and provide leadership in developing and implementing internal/employee and external communications plans for wide range of clients to support business and strategic goals.
– Works with senior level leadership and must be able to demonstrate composure to effectively converse with this level of management.
SCOPE & IMPACTDescribe financial responsibilities (e.g. budget, revenue, OI, gross sales etc). What is the business impact and geographic scope of role? Detail people management responsibilities? (include typical team size).
– Is accountable for contributions to Internal Communications team.
– Has knowledge of Communications discipline and work processes and a good understanding of the roles within the relevant functional groups within own area.
– Provides analytic or diagnostic services that affect a wide range of business activities and suggests improvements.
– Requires extensive training and experience to resolve a wide range of issues. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
– Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
– Identifies and solves a range of problems in straightforward situations and analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures.
– Responds to non-standard requests from internal and/or external customers; investigates with assistance from others as needed.
– Has internal contacts.
– Normally receives detailed instructions on routine work and new projects or assignments.
TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIESWhat are the critical skills that a successful incumbent would possess: e.g. fluent in German, expert at unbiased writing, expert decision maker, working knowledge of risk management, basic awareness of investment banking, expert at mitigating conflict.
– Excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to build relationships as a trusted advisor.
– Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information.
– Ability to build network of sources and thrive in a highly matrixed organization.
– Computer proficiency in basic applications.
– Ability to work in a team environment across business areas.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain focused, objective, effective and concentrated under pressure.
– Innovative – ability to propose effective, original solutions.
– Strong attention to detail – ensures accuracy of communications.
– Skilled at planning, project management, time management, communicating, decision-making, presentations and human and organizational relations.
