We combine industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver critical information to leading decision makers in the financial and risk, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science and media markets, powered by the world’s most trusted news organization.Role PurposeThis position qualifies leads through outbound telephone calls based on an established set of criteria to gain interest in purchasing a specific product(s).ResponsibilitiesProspects, qualifies and generates sales within established territories.Identifies and assists in the closing of additional purchases of products and services through existing client base.Maximizes revenue opportunities.Maintains contact information of prospects as well as record sales potential and next steps in the sales process.Briefly discusses the use of products, emphasizing product features based on analyses of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities.Maintains a working knowledge of company products, special sales programs and marketing efforts within the sales division.Remains up to date on industry trends.Responsible for lead generation, not direct sales.Scope & ImpactWorks under direct supervision of manager.Calls on accounts in varying geographies.


Qualifications


Technical / Professional Skills & CompetenciesWorking knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software.Strong communication skills, both written and oral.Relationships: Internal / ExternalKey external relationships are with prospective clients and industry and market groups.Key internal relationships are with other team members, technical and customer support groups along with the face to face account management capability, where relevant.At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
