The Topps Company was founded in 1938 as Topps Chewing Gum, and in its early years produced a popular penny “Topps Gum” from a factory in Brooklyn, NY. After World War II, the company developed Bazooka Bubble Gum, and in 1950, added trading cards to its product line. Baseball cards appeared in 1951 and quickly became a vital part of pop culture, a tradition that continues to this day.
Topps was acquired in October of 2007 by Madison Dearborn Partners, a private equity group, and The Tornante Company, an investment company owned by Michael Eisner, former CEO of Disney. Although headquartered in New York City, Topps maintains offices in nine countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, India, Brazil and Argentina. Responsibilities:
The Topps Company, is seeking a Digital Artist for our New York City headquarters.

Topps is slooking for a full-time Photoshop devotee to share our love of digital media and work as a staff digital designer in our office, supporting the Art Director to create branded content assets for our licensed UFC products .
This is NOT an illustrator position, nor is it a UX/UI position—must have design/layout samples in your portfolio.
Position Overview:
Are HEX codes, vector smart objects, actions and filters part of your native tongue? Do you thrive within a team-based, entrepreneurial culture? If so, Topps may be for you. Our Digital Designer will lend his or her creative talents to building cards, packs, headers and visuals for our new and existing UFC products.
Duties & Responsibilities
Have experience producing graphics for both web and mobile formats
Carry over established campaign creative look and feel across various on-line assets
Conceptual design for content including splash, icon, cards, packs, headers, awards and more
Experience working with licensed product and adhering to strict licensed style guides
Produce high-quality Photoshop designs at an accelerated rate in partnership with a Producer and Content Strategist while working under the oversight of the Art Director
Qualifications:
Desired Skills and Experience:
Medium Level Experience or equivalent competency
Well versed in standard graphic design software: Adobe Creative Suite (know Photoshop and Illustrator inside and out), Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, specifically). Plus: After Effects
Know what an editable vector-based smart object is and how best to use it
You like Macs. We like Macs too
Conceptual design experience — do you know how to balance a layout while keeping it unique, modern and desirable?
Experience working within a content management systems and/or asset libraries
Image optimization
Awareness of best-practice standards with the ability to assess scope of work and effort (yours and ours!)
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to take direction, ability to discern when to move forward or hold back
