Regional Finance Director North & Latin America - MAPEI Corporation - Deerfield Beach, FL

Job Description:
Regional Finance Director North and Latin America sought by MAPEI Corp. in Deerfield, Florida. 40 hrs/wk. In charge of the finance area at MAPEI Americas, a region representing more than 25% of the total turnover of the group, with 11 subsidiaries existing at the moment in 9 countries (USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina). Act as a business partner to the local and corporate management. Lead and advise local teams to achieve budget targets and to monitor and analyze deviations. Oversee the submission of accurate and timely financial data to regional and corporate management. Set and review MBO of direct reports and local CFO/finance directors. Establish and execute cost reduction initiatives and communicate with management. Ensure compliance of local internal control systems with policies and procedures in place. Report to Corporate management and company ownership on specific projects and tasks. Work closely with other directors and member of the leadership team to ensure the business runs smoothly and objectives are met. Interact with external auditors, bank institution and legal advisors. Lead the start-up team to set up new subsidiaries from an organizational standpoint. Travel 40-50% internationally and domestically. Bachelor degree in Economics, Business or foreign equivalent together with at least of related experience. 5 years progressive experience as a financial controller. 4 years of experience in: Manufacturing, finance, controller and multi-national environments; Manufacturing environment and in public accounting; Experience with POQ-18-FA: accounting cycle, general ledger, knowledge of the various books of accounts, reconciliation work, calculating the depreciation, analyzing the financial statements; Manage the banking activities and issuing governmental reports; and Internal control, planning & financial analysis and following startups of new subsidiaries.
