Bachelor’s DegreeMinimum of 3 years of experience in Wealth Planning/Insurance.Previous positions held in International Private Wealth Insurance Specialist or Wealth Planning institution including Insurance solutions.Experience selling to and servicing an existing client base. Strong client relationship background.Understanding of Wealth Management business (offshore) and insurance competitive and regulatory environment.Strong history of achievement through career progression and/or track record.Demonstrate good communication skills and contributions to team success in past roles.Internal and external client facing skills.Strong negotiation, complex problem resolution, communication and presentation (written and oral) skills.Strong legal and compliance background doing business in México and/or other countries in Latin America. Technical Skills / Requirements The ideal Candidate is an advisor and should have a consultative sales approach. The ideal Candidate should understand the International Wealth Management environment.He/She should have a sales/hunter personality, know how to close a sale, and build a close network with BBVA’s Relationship Managers.Bilingual English & Spanish. (Required)Trilingual is a plus (English, Spanish and Portuguese)General lines- Life & Health. (Required)Licenses: CFP (a plus), Series 6, 7, 63, 65 or 66 (a plus). Five Critical Skills Computer skills (there is no administrative assistance)Bilingual English & SpanishKnowledge of Life and Health Insurance solutions (License: Life & Health)Knowledge of offshore wealth planning solutionsResilience Other: Travel Requirements: Travel up to 50% of the time, or as required, to accompany Relationship Managers to visit their clients throughout Mexico and LATAM: Mainly Latin American countries with local BBVA presence: Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and others.

Functions


To be a successful Wealth Strategist, he/she must be able to build relationships with the bank’s Relationship Managers and Clients, establish credibility as a source of trustworthy advice, and excel at building a business. The ideal candidate will have past experience in wealth planning and insurance services targeting Private Banking clients. The Wealth Strategist will advise in the area of wealth planning for the HNW and UHNW clients in the International Private Wealth footprint.Provide wealth planning support, education and guidance to existing Relationship Managers and prospect Clients.Develop a consultative, rather than a transaction-oriented, approach toward existing and prospect Clients.Help Clients to determine their wealth planning needs, and utilize commercial skills to effectively recommend suitable insurance and help the client with off shore structured solutions.Prepare presentations that clearly communicate recommendations and alternatives related to Clients’ needs.Participate in client presentations as requested by Relationship Managers.Develop strong relationships and become one of the Client’s/Family trusted advisor.Work with clients to help protect them financially in the event of death and thus protect what matters most to them. Develop wealth strategies to help Clients’ estates pass according to their wishes ensuring their legacy lives beyond their lifetime.Provide input and support for the development of new insurance and wealth planning initiatives and product enhancement in his/her area.Position can be filled in San Diego or Houston.
