The mission of
the Tyco tax department is to maximize shareholder value by minimizing the
worldwide tax burden of the Tyco group of companies consistent with
management’s operational objectives and a policy of full compliance with the
laws of all jurisdictions in which such companies operate.
The Tyco Corporate Tax department has offices in Princeton, New Jersey
and Boca Raton, Florida, with support personnel in Argentina, Canada,
Switzerland, and the UK. It is responsible for planning tax strategies globally
and complying with all US tax filing requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare Excel schedules that support international income tax return
filings
Prepare 5741s, 1120Fs, Foreign Bank Account Forms and Residency
Certifications
Assist in development of audit ready files to support current year tax
returns
Prepare review files for Return to Provision (RTP), Tax Basis Balance
Sheet (TBBS) and Provision processes.
Organize financial and tax data from various source systems to prepare
excel schedules used to conduct provision related analytics
Perform Reviews of Return To Provision Submissions
Manage multiple tax and / or provision related projects simultaneously
Work with Tax Technology to resolve technological issues in various tax
systems
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Rising Sophomore or Junior pursuing BS degree in Accounting or Finance
Basic accounting/auditing knowledge
Advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Availability:
(40 hours per week) during summer and Part-Time during school year; Candidates
“MUST” be open to a year round
