We deliver this must-have insight to the financial and risk, legal, tax and accounting, intellectual property and science and media markets, powered by the world’s most trusted news organization.Role PurposeProvides assistance and may act as a liaison among an internal development group and an internal Business Sponsor , team or product management group in order to: assist in understanding the requirements for a given product, or process, or system and collection/analysis of that dataMay review basic product needs, instructions, regulations, and/or laws for low to medium level projects; begins to document requirements and assists in communicating the requirements to internal stakeholdersDepending on the nature of the project, undertakes entry-level requirements testing and/ or User Acceptance testing and technical implementation with guidance.Develops an understanding of customer and/or product needs in the context of internal and external requirements for software development informationResponsibilitiesAssists in the elicitation and documentation of business requirements.Begins to outline improvements and revisions for low complexity or standard business processes with guidance from more experienced colleagues.Translate basic or low complexity business requirements into technical solutions with guidance.Maintains a relationship with stakeholdersUses a structured requirements process to assess near-term needs.Adheres to metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.Liaise between business and technology teams to ensure change management and communication of change to team is done in a systematic way for low complexity projectsImplements improvements to process or product as directed by management.Develops a basic awareness and understanding of Thomson Reuters technologies, products, and services, including a basic understanding of how technical solutions impact the business.Scope & ImpactPerforms work within one business segment and/or module within a product engaging in less complex business processes within a project context to gather and specify business requirements or to work on the next stage of the requirements process to conduct systems analysis.Works with project team members for projects of small to medium scope and simple to moderate complexity, or sub-projects within a large or highly complex project with technical and managerial direction.Accountable for the quality of own work, delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes and focused on internal and/or external customer needs.Quality of work is regularly reviewed by more senior colleagues and/or manager to ensure it is delivered within agreed procedures and timeframes and focused on internal and/or external customer needs.Works independently within defined parameters, taking ownership of problems within own area of knowledge, escalating as appropriate.Decisions are made within guidelines set by others.Receives direct guidance and supervision in day to day work.
