Regional Marketing and Business Development Director - AECOM - Miami, FL
This position will have the unique opportunity to:
Play a key role in the formation of a broader global initiative that AECOM is rolling out for enhanced collaboration with strategic partners and clients from Asia and LATAM.
Utilize Multi-lingual fluency (Mandarin, Spanish or Portuguese, English) to play a key role in the rapid expansion of AECOM’s business in architecture, design, engineering, and construction services for public and private clients across a broad range of industry sectors.
It will build on AECOM’s recently developed LATAM transformational growth strategy, while taking advantage of the firm’s expanded footprint and broader service offerings facilitated by recent acquisitions and mergers.
Minimum Requirements
Review existing inventory of projects and opportunities that have been identified previously as holding potential for enhanced collaboration with key Asian partners and clients.
Conduct further research on, and outreach to AECOM priority LATAM countries, seeking to update the current inventory, adding any new opportunities discovered, with as much information and market intelligence as possible.
In coordination with AECOM team members in Asia and the Americas, make direct contact with relevant managers and decision makers of SOEs, gaging their potential interest to collaborate and otherwise joining with AECOM to pursue projects and opportunities in the inventory.
When interest is confirmed, work with AECOM business line and country teams to help develop proposals, serving as a bridge and facilitator to ensure optimal cooperation with an eye toward enhancing the competitiveness and win rate of business pursuits in the LATAM region.
Work with corporate communications, business lines, regional leadership and country managers to develop new marketing materials and collaterals suited for target sectors and clients. Of particular importance are new materials produced in Mandarin Chinese language, which can be used to better explain AECOM’s presence and capabilities in LATAM to prospective partners and clients.
Identify strategic pursuits, and support efforts by relevant business line and regional teams to capture business. Efforts will include working on proposals, attending client meetings, developing and delivering presentations, etc.
Collaborate with the LATAM team to develop market entry/expansion strategies for markets where political or economic developments are anticipated to create new openings (e.g., Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Cuba, Argentina)
Build collaborative relationships with firm-wide and regional business lines.
Bachelors in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial level with Design, Engineering and/or construction firm.
Candidates must have fluency in Mandarin Chinese, English and Spanish language skills (both spoken & written). Portuguese can be substituted for Spanish
Successful track record of leading/supporting business development and fostering long term strategic business relationships translating into increased revenue growth. Proven organizational capability and good communication skills with a high level of cultural awareness.
Proven ability in running and growing business units
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Masters’ degree a plus.
