Global Compensation Equity Lead

Atlanta, GA


Position Overview

The Global Compensation Lead will lead the service delivery and stock administration of the Global Equity Programs for The Coca-Cola Company and Coca Cola Refreshments to include Stock Options Grants, Performance Share Units (PSUs) and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU’s). The Lead will provide Subject Matter Expertise of Equity-related projects and initiatives to ensure compliance and meet changing business needs. They will manage work to meet all assigned deliverables as outlined in Global Compensation process documents and Work plan.

Key Responsibilities

Build value-based relationships with cross-functional managers; Tax, Legal, Corporate and Regional Accounting, Treasury, COE and Payroll.

Lead the reconciliation and delivery of the annual grant process for Equity-based awards to global participants; Lead the delivery of all grants awarded through the quarterly Executive Compensation Committee Meetings.

Support the delivery of year-end reporting and Available and Outstanding Shares Reporting to various stakeholders.

Ensure compliance on equity-related financial transactions; to include but not limited to the management approval of proper tax withholding, practices for International/European Service Associates, globally mobile associates, those in special Group programs and those affected by changes to global and local regulations.

Apply knowledge of Equity policies to manage plans and program performance, adherence to Federal, State and Local legislation, adherence to internal and external audits, SOX compliance, company policies and standard practices to ensure compliance and minimize financial risk to the Company.

Manage Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Quarterly, and Annual audits as outlined in Audit Review Plan Documentation.

Influence day to day external vendor activities: partner to deliver high quality, secured financial information to the participants.

Manage the annual delivery of the consolidated Stock Ownership details to the COE and Executive Services; manage delivery of quarterly dividend payout of RSUs.

Evaluate existing processes in-line with industry trends, create innovative process improvements, negotiate and obtain buy-in from cross-functional teams and implement changes to improve operating efficiencies while meeting annual performance metrics.

Oversee the Special Equity Program delivery and report out; manage PSU & RSU releases – ongoing releases, i.e., retirements and disability and all forfeitures/cancellations and notifications.

Manage internal systems housing highly confidential data to ensure integrity and accurate reporting of global data; provide oversight into system enhancement to ensure integrity of participant data.

Oversee equity related system updates of the Stock Option System, Merrill Lynch, SAP (shareTax) to include, but not limited to annual and monthly tax rate updates

Manage system issues; research complex and often problematic issues to detect ppt impact; evaluate impact to global equity associates, and work with senior management to deliver messages to participants to bring about a resolution in-line with federal and local regulations.

Lead and influence IT Partners in the system administration of Global Equity programs to ensure adherence to global equity policies.

Manage the revising and delivery of SOX Narratives

Coaches team members to utilize effective consultative tools and methods. Assures that client expectations are met by team members, by measuring results

Communication: Develops open, effective communications practices across the organization to improve individual and business achievement and performance. i.e., Designs, develops and implements communications processes, tools and channels for targeted audiences (e.g., divisional, geographic, by attribute, etc.). Develops communications strategies and plans and utilizes metrics to ensure the effective implementation of key HR initiatives. Provides leadership in using communication as a process that focuses on solving business problems. Conducts and utilizes research in the communications planning process (assess current state, test market solutions, generates feedback, checks for understanding, etc)

Training: Enhances individual, team and business unit performance through the design and implementation of training solutions that are linked to business strategy. i.e., consults with organizations to clarify and specify their needs to build the capability of individuals, teams in an organization. Engages the organization in understanding available learning solutions to meet their business needs. Working with clients, creates learning strategies comprised of an appropriate mix of learning solutions and/or customized initiatives that support the unit’s business strategy

Total Compensation Principles: Knowledge of total compensation principles and ability to apply them to compensation delivery (e.g., job evaluation, salary administration, stock options, incentives, and survey administration)

Data Analysis: Knowledge of data analysis methods, which includes the ability to analyze and interpret data

HRIS System: Knowledge of HRIS systems, processes, and interrelationships of data transfers

Meeting Design: Knowledge and ability to design small and large-scale interactive meetings

Group Facilitation: Ability to lead a group through a process to achieve a desired outcome

Customer Focus: Making customers (external and internal) and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships; creating and executing plans and solutions in collaboration with the customer.

Managing Consumer and Customer Dialogue: Ability to apply communication skills (e.g., listening, expressing empathy, probing, asking questions) and Company language to effectively manage dialogue with consumers or customers in response to product quality and complaints or incidents. Includes the ability to handle sensitive and complex contacts that require a high level of judgment, tact, and diplomacy to minimize negative impact to the Company and customers

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Human Resource or equivalent work experience, CPA, MBA preferred
