The Senior Corporate Counsel, Latin America position will be

responsible for providing legal advice to SCEA’s business units in Latin

America, with special attention to Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, on the wide

range of commercial legal issues arising in those territories. Drafting and

negotiating commercial contracts is one of the main responsibilities of this

position, but it also requires the attorney to provide strategic legal advice

on a variety of legal issues and to support the company’s anti-piracy efforts

in the Latin American region.

As Senior Corporate Counsel you will:
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts to SCEA’s

subsidiaries in Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico

Provide general legal advice on business and commercial

activities, including day-to-day business operations, sales, distribution,

marketing, advertising, consumer services, e-commerce, vendor engagement,

litigation and employment. In many circumstances, this attorney will work with

local, outside counsel to provide timely and detailed legal advice

Work closely with SCEA’s Deputy General Counsel on direction

and strategy

Provide shared legal oversight of anti-piracy activities in

Latin America

Manage and direct staff

Extensive commercial transactional experience

General litigation experience

Budget management experience

Experience overseeing and managing outside counsel

Excellent communication skills

Excellent follow-through and attention to detail

Qualifications

As Senior Corporate Counsel you will have:
Law degree (J.D. or L.L.M) from a top U.S. law school

Licensed to practice law in the United States, preferably

California

At least 8 years experience working as an attorney

At least 5 years experience in commercial transactions, with

at least 3 years working in-house in this capacity

Fluency in either Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese,

preferably both
