1. Job Overview
As Human Resources Generalist you will provide support to the Miramar office in overall HR support and the South America region. Your role will involve developing and coordinating plans and/or programs, including the management of activities relating to, industrial relations, organizational development, training and development, health and safety, and change management. You will be responsible for leading regional HR projects such as Engagement, Performance Management, and Recruitment.

Supporting a Business Unit that has locations outside of the United States covering Brazil, Peru, Columbia, Chile and Argentina.

3. Principal Accountabilities
Provides human resource services for the local staff covering, safety, talent pool, operating environment, training and operational excellence. Support the HR strategy driving Scalability and Differentiation in our Talent
Supports staff related to employment legislation. Supports HR Director in all critical co-workers issues as they arise such as closures, restructuring, projects, and managerial terminations.
Responsible for processing payroll and budgeting for the Miramar office.
Coordinates and implements co-workers and labor relations programs including promotion of a high performance culture, employee communications, change management, organizational structure/ accountability, employee relations, and safety programs.
Assist in developing and implementing talent pool strategy and programs including staffing, talent review process, succession planning, management development and learning programs.
Assists in developing an Amcor Flexibles global human resources strategy and programs to improve operational excellence such as management development.
Assists in the continued profitable growth of AFA SA by participating in the planning and policy making of the organization.
Ensures proper functioning of HR community in region while not directly managing them
Assist in developing and implementing specific projects according HR strategy (Engagement survey, Performance Management, and Recruitment).
Direct the work of external resources, including consultancy firms, staffing search firms, and legal and tax consultants.
Participate in strategic HR projects that have a regional scope.
Manage Amcor’s compliance with regional and local legislation, regulatory bodies, and internal group policies throughout the Latin American region.

6. Qualifications/Requirements
6.1 Formal Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge and Experience
5+ years of progressively increased responsibility in Human Resources with experience in a Generalist role
Knowledge of local and federal laws (EEOC, FMLA, ADA, WC, etc.)
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and preferably experience with HRIS systems
Payroll and timekeeping system experience
Manufacturing experience highly preferred
Education and Certifications
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or equivalent field preferred
Masters’ Degree desirable
PHR Certification preferred
6.2 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Behaviours

Fluency in English and Spanish, fluency in Portuguese a plus
