Sales Senior Manager - Toyota Boshoku America (TBA) - Novi, MI



Serve as main sales contact for all regions in TBA ((Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, USA, Japan and Europe). Supervise all current accounts which are non-Toyota business (BMW, Daimler, Audi, VW, Ford and GM). Manage and lead all quotation activity, deliver presentations for new customer programs or new products, and sell primarily in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and USA. Facilitate communication between customer and TBA upper management during the quotation phase of a new project. Assist managing some cost planning activities (1-2 programs) utilizing existing resources.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Lead calculation and submission of customer quotations (USA region) for all non-Toyota customers (BMW, Daimler, Audi, VW, GM and Ford), coordinating with plants and TBA departments.

  • Manage all current non-Toyota customer accounts to include price increases, evaluation of saving ideas to improve the margin, negotiation of engineering changes, cost recovery, and strategic reports for top management (cost, profit recovery, obsolescence, expedite costs).

  • Serve as a main sales contact for all of the manufacturing TBA facilities for all non-Toyota Business in USA.

  • Support corporate sales in all regions for current business in Brazil, Mexico, USA, and Argentina.

  • Support quotation activities in other regions.

  • Control the prices of all directed suppliers from all customers.

  • Prepare and coordinate any special customer information requests for all TBA areas.

  • Minimum Qualifications/Requirements :


    Education:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sales/Marketing or other related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

    • Master’s degree preferred

    Experience:

    • Minimum 12 years of relevant sales experience required.

    • Minimum 6 years of functional leadership experience as a supervisor or manager.

    • Prior experience in automotive or manufacturing preferred.

    Personal/Technical Skills:

    • Excellent time management skills

    • Ability to multi-task effectively

    • Excellent leadership skills

    • Understanding of profit & loss

    • Strong negotiation skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to be strategic and lead initiatives

    Language Skills:

    • English required

    • German, Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Japanese Preferred

    Computer/Software:

    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Work Environment/Conditions :

      Office: Open Office Environment


      Plant: N/A


      Travel: 10-15% of the time to visit customers, required.

      While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
