Systems Engineer - SMS Datacenter - Irvine, CA

POSITION
This is a full-time Mid-level Systems Engineer position. The position is ideal for someone who has at least 5 years’ experience working as a systems engineer. We are looking for a candidate who can design, engineer and manage systems and servers, following industry best practice and who can build excellent working relationships with customers and internal teams alike. Strong verbal and written skills are necessary for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Plan, deploy, monitor and manage IT systems: Windows Servers, VMWare infrastructure, Web Servers, Active Directory, Exchange infrastructure, with the ability to perform basic networking.


• Assist IT Team on troubleshooting, and escalated issues to resolution.


• Assure the performance and availability of the systems.


• Troubleshoot and perform break-fix tasks on all systems (servers, appliances, and systems to support the datacenter)

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years Systems Engineer experience


• Technical skills with the following:


• Windows Server 2012


• VMware – vCenter, ESXi (View/Horizon is a plus)


• Active Directory Services


• Windows Desktops


• Backup – Veeam and/or Arcserve


• HP Blade (C7000)


• Avaya PBX


• Microsoft SQL Server (installation and basic troubleshooting)

• Great customer service skills.


• Have excellent written and verbal communication skill.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Excel and Visio.


• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
