Regional Head, LATAM, Forensic & Litigation Consulting

FTI Consulting is looking for an experienced professional to lead its Forensic & Litigation (FLC) Practice in Latin America. This business has significant growth potential and is one of the top regions of strategic investment for the firm. FTI’s strategic plan and objective is to double the size of the business over the next few years. The majority of the Forensic and Litigation business in Latam is Global Risk and Investigations Practice (GRIP) related with billings in Mexico, Panama, Columbia, Argentina and Brazil. (Brazil also has GRIP, Technology and Construction Industry billings). There is a very strong existing infrastructure, footprint, delivery capability and talent base with approximately 50+ Consultants working in region out of FTI’s Latin American offices.


Ideally, the successful candidate will be located in Brazil or Mexico. However, our client is also open to the candidate being located in Panama, Columbia, or Argentina or in Miami, Houston or Washington D.C. in the U.S. With broad experience throughout Latin America, this executive will be given the mandate to lead a team of professionals in coordinating new business development, as well as provide leadership in client relationship management and in the delivery of advisory services to clients.


This leader will bring a strong external network throughout Latin America and credibility and experience with the various cultures and countries throughout the region. S/he will possess a hands-on, entrepreneurial style working across geographies – becoming personally involved to whatever degree necessary to effectively manage functional responsibilities and key relationships.


Key Responsibilities:
Quantifying damages and providing expert testimony in a range of dispute situations: intellectual property, professional malpractice, lost profits, valuations, breach of contract, purchase price disagreements, business interruption, environmental claims, construction claims and fraud cases

Employing forensic accounting and complex modeling expertise to unravel complex financial transactions

Independently gathering and analyzing critical information

Offering industry ‐ leading electronic evidence services that identify, preserve and collect relevant, structured information and analyze complex data within enterprise systems

Manage, supervise and develop a team(s) that draws upon the skills and resources of attorneys, forensic accountants, research analysts, administrative personnel and other staff

Drive practice growth, including leadership of business development, client relationship management and delivery excellence efforts throughout Latin America

Lead and direct the sale of forensic and litigation solutions and other FTIservices across the region

Develop strategy, approach and penetration into new target clients – maintaining visibility of flow of business opportunities and keeping FTI top-of-mind for these prospective clients

Develop and codify intellectual capital and points of view
