The Talent Manager reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources, Americas will work closely with the business and HR Teams across the Region (i.e., USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina) to champion Performance Management and Talent Acquisition processes in a way that provides transparency and data around the overall talent pipeline. The overall objective is to translate that data into actionable and measurable plans to create a sustainable and profitable Region by ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time. The Talent Manager will apply best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve process and services, while solving problems with the internal clients as it pertains to the performance management and talent acquisition processes. This role will also, focus on standardizing practices and processes and ensuring they are aligned (i.e., planned, communicated, and executed) with BTS and Corporate guidelines. The Talent Manager will develop strong working partnerships with leaders in the business and HR community as well as partner with internal customers by supporting the Head of Human Resources, Americas on topics related to workforce planning (including forecasting), strategic sourcing, selection/ assessment, talent pool creation, Employer Branding, talent management, leadership development/ succession planning, and onboarding. This position will also lead and/or collaborate on special projects as well as provide Sr. HR Generalist support as directed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, ownership and guidance to effectively instill performance management and talent acquisition processes including workforce planning, leadership development, assessment and selection, learning and development, developmental 360 and executive coaching and career planning into the organization
Works as part of the Regional HR core team in the development and implementation of programs that are aligned with business strategy, global HR principles/plans, and which are in compliance with local labor standards and practices
Provide strategic direction on important developments within the talent acquisition, performance management and talent management arena and assesses their applicability to the organization. This may include assessing and advising on organizational structure, resource allocation and culture transformation.
Provide direct consultative and strategic partnering efforts to human resources and business leaders to maximize performance of the organization. Reinforce mindsets and capabilities required to make managers accountable/skilled to develop talent.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Management, Talent Management, Organizational Behavior/Psychology or Leadership is required.
10-12 years operational and strategic human resources experience gained in a highly regarded consulting or Fortune 500 company with best-in-class performance management, talent acquisition, and talent management practices
Experience in a large complex corporate environment with exposure to diverse projects in LATAM and/or emerging markets
Experience and confidence in creating, facilitating and/or implementation innovation
Must be able to act as a HR Champion and role model in collaboration and people leadership
Experience leading through significant organizational change with an international scope
Must have prior experience acting as international process leader for HR Planning (succession, organizational capability, internal mobility) across a sizeable, global business.
Must exhibit familiarity with innovative, best practices in leadership development, succession planning, talent identification, performance management, and “hi-potential” recruiting strategies
Experience building and delivering a broad talent management agenda with specific subject matter expertise in full-life cycle talent acquisition, performance management, Leadership Development, selection and developmental assessments, executive coaching, and career planning in LATAM or emerging markets
Must have a core strength creating, documenting, implementing, and sustaining key performance management, talent acquisition, and/or talent management initiatives and showing direct, positive linkages to achievement of business strategy
Must exhibit thought leadership; strategic, independent and progressive thinker; consultative approach and the ability to influence others
Must be able to balance the strategic with the practical and be able and willing to implement and drive the execution of associated processes and initiatives
Must have a willingness to ‘get hands dirty’ recognizing significant state of transformation within the organization
Strong client engagement skills and the ability to both understand and deliver to the clients’ needs is required
Proven project and resource management skills including the ability to work on multiple large scale projects concurrently, oversee resources as well as deliverables and timelines, etc.
Requires prior experiencing providing leadership, coaching and guidance for business leaders on the key processes related to this role
Proven success in developing and aligning the Human Resources function, capabilities, and initiatives across different cultures, geographies, and operating environments.
Ability to develop the knowledge to create customized recruiting strategies to attract candidates in these specialized fields
A proven track record of developing programs and interventions in this space along with developing and monitor KPIs is also required
Team player with the operational “know how” and ability to think strategically as well as conceptualize
Strong interpersonal, business writing and verbal communication skills as well as sound presentation and facilitation skill are required
Working knowledge of HRIS, Performance Management and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as SAP, Success Factors, iCIMs, and Taleo, etc. is required. Additionally, must have advanced MS Power Point and Excel skills
Fluency in English and one of the following is high preferred: Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese.
30-40% travel is required domestically and internationally
