A minimum of five years’ experience preferred; responsible for the day-to-day management of the tactical media plan and its proper implementation, working to implement the brand’s overall media strategy in the context of changing marketplace conditions and opportunities.

BBVA Group has a solid position in Spain, is the largest financial institution in Mexico, and has leading franchises in South America and the Sunbelt region of the United States. A 150-year-old company needs to transform its marketing and they selected us as change agent.
Responsibilities:
As Account Manager, you will be one of the engines that drives the global team forward to media transformation. Your job will be different every day, but will continuously evolve around developing new & innovative ways to transform BBVA’s marketing. This includes;
• Working closely with client & agency partners to develop annual & seasonal media directives that set up the markets for success
• Identifying & engaging with the most innovative media partners to create multi-market media opportunities
• Ensuring ruthless brilliance in execution & evaluation of plans, both central & local
• And creating strong bonds with local media agency teams in our markets to support & elevate local plans. The Global BBVA Team includes markets such as Spain, Mexico, USA & Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela.
• The ultimate end goal is connecting with and inspiring real people across markets with our communications.
• Working with the Associate Director, as well as implementation groups, develops budget allocations across media, media mix scenarios and POVs
Qualifications:
We are in need of a creative, sharp analytical media all-rounder who is up to the challenging task of managing BBVA markets.
A great knowledge of the media ecosystem will be required to identify the best opportunities for our client.
With an ever increasing shift to digital communications, being digital savvy is a must, as is understanding the wider media landscape.
Being able to make sense of a plethora of data & condensing this into a compelling narrative for our client is key.
The Global BBVA Team, we already have in place will support you. However, there will be many occasions when you need to get on with stuff.
We work on a quick-moving client so that needs to be something you’re OK with. You’ll know the detail and be able to dream big. Things the team does which you’ll get involved in
Campaign planning, insights, category deep dive, territory landscape, media innovation, TV planning and buying, best practice sharing, digital operations, post campaign learnings, media owner relationships…
Systems & Tools:
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Relevant third-party ad serving platform (i.e. DoubleClick Campaign Manager)
• Syndicated digital media research tools, ideally comScore, MRI
• Media Tools and Donovan Data Systems is a plus but not required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in both English and Spanish
• Minimum of five years experience with accounts management, preferably multimarket
• Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
• Comfortable working with budgets and numbers
• Knowledgeable on LATAM markets is a plus
