Assistant Controller- Telecom Industry - H.T. PROF Executive Search - Clifton, NJ

Position: Assistant Controller- Telecom Solutions
Location: New Jersey (north)

My client is an international and publicly traded company that provides networks back haul solutions to fixed and mobile carriers. The company is looking for an Assistant Controller located near Clifton, NJ.

Assistant Controller tasks are grouped into FOUR AREAS, with these being some of the tasks

CORPORATE ACCOUNTING

• Consolidation Reporting Requirements analysis (PR’s and 20F)

• Booking GP analysis.


• Actual Revenues Collaboration, RR appropriateness, revenues Forecasting, Deferred Revenues accounting.


• IC analysis and reconciliations and charge back


• Costing matters- Deferred Direct inventory costs, deferred subcontractors costs, Theoretical COGS analysis.


• Inventory Collaboration analysis and support for Inventory amount on Consolidation basis, taking into account RATAM. Currently Inventory for Ltd done by this function.


• Involvement in Sales Commission Provision creation and Cycle explanation.


• Agent commission Collaboration and cycle analysis.


• Exchange Rates Forecast, PV analysis.

TREASURY MANAGEMENT

• Collaboration of Collection forecasts and monitoring actual collection up to target.


• Cash flow Collaboration analysis PV actual and PV.


• LC management and Commercial involvement


• Hedging transactions and Interest and Commissions improvement on going monitoring.


• Local Banks monitoring


• Signatory rights involvement documentation and Banks procedures (open/ Close)

INTERNAL AUDIT AND SOX

• Enforcement of major processes- Payroll, Travel Reimbursements and Policy

• SOX compliance


• Internal Audits report, recommendations and implementation.

TAX

• Current tax accounting and analysis.


• Close entities


• Intercompany agreements


• Involvement with optimal tax affects( Argentina, India, Brazil, US, Nigeria)


• Withholding tax analysis Retro and part of DEAL Consultations.


• FIN 48 and FAS 5 analysis.


• Deferred taxes.


• 20f Tax notes preparations and analysis.


• Current tax assets – monitoring and follow up with Regions.


• Compliance and TP studies/ Documentation.

Required experience:

• Financial experience associated with Telecom Industry: 3 years
