Your Function:
As Project manager Job Holder have the following responsibilities for each project they manage:


  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.

  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope

  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client

  • Effectively applies Prince2 methodology and enforces project standards.

  • Sets and manages client expectations

  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures

  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on project

  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

  • Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.

  • Manages project budget.

  • Ensures timely and accurate payment of invoicing, and monitors all costs for project.

  • Understands basic cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.

  • Understands our invoicing procedures.

  • Assures project legal documents are completed and signed.

  • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal discussions.

  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.

  • Holds regular status meetings with project team.

  • Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.

  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.

  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.

  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.

  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

  • Possesses general understanding in the areas of desktop engineering, platform services, network and telecommunications, IT service desk

  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on projects

For support and coordination functions for the Project Management and Administration Department, the job holder may have the following responsibilities depending on availability and need:

  • Support and coordination of IT project portfolio reporting

  • Support and coordination of IT resource utilization and time tracking administration

  • Support and coordination of IT Business Continuity Planning

  • Support and coordination for other cross-IT initiatives as needed Your Profile:

Job Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:

  • Experience coordinating projects across several IT departmental lines

  • 5 to 7 years of financial industry experience

  • Able to communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.

  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

  • Able to develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.

  • Builds a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization and objectives.

  • Manages the development of team by ensuring, when possible, that project tasks are in line with each Innovator’s career interests.

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change

  • Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.

  • Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.

  • Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.

  • Manages day-to-day client interaction.

  • Sets and manages client expectations.

  • Approves team members’ time and expense reports in a conscientious and timely manner.

  • Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.

  • Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.

  • Manages the process of innovative change effectively

Desirable:

  • MBA or Higher Education in Project Management

  • Certified in a leading Project Management Methodology [Prince 2 preferred]

  • Solid track record of delivery for several large projects on time and in budget

  • Technical background in IT infrastructure and IT Operations areas

  • Experience with cross—functional workflow development

  • Inspires co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence.

  • Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices

  • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member’s contributions.

  • Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.

  • Plans and facilitates regular team activities outside of the office.
