Logistics Coordinator(Events) - The Austral Group - San Francisco, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES
Austral Group is looking to fill the position of Logistics Coordinator for the United States with a professional and energetic person who can contribute ideas and take on responsibilities to match our growth as a leader in educational travel. The position will be performed in part remotely, and in part from a shared office space within the San Francisco bay area.


As a Logistics Coordinator at Austral Group your responsibility will be:


  • the evaluation, selection and management of the relationship with trip providers such as restaurants, ground Transportation companies, hosts/guides, and other tourism activity providers

  • the continuous search for new local cultural and educational activities

  • the negotiating, scheduling and coordinating payment of services from providers

  • participating in the selection and logistics development on new destinations in the United States

  • coordinating all on-site hotel adjustments, quoting, booking and reserving hotels

  • being responsible for the local office administration and Support (including bank payments, printing materials and purchase of office supplies)

  • utilizing the relevant systems

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • Work experience in trip planning/administration and/or events planning

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Good knowledge of Excel

  • Be highly organized and detail oriented

  • Positive, flexible and open attitude with an eagerness to learn and contribute

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in a multicultural environment a plus

  • Highly responsible and trustworthy

  • Open to work outside office hours when necessary
