Senior Financial Consultant - MetLife - Morristown, NJ

This role is within the Investments Finance team and is principally responsible for supporting the LATAM Investments and Finance teams in the areas of Net Investment Income Planning and Projections and related analysis and attribution of results. The team delivers results and analysis to Chief Investment Officer, Chief Financial Officer as well as other senior level officers on a regular basis. Team members have extensive interaction with Portfolio Managers and Asset Sector Specialists within the Investments Group.

Job Description

LATAM (Chile/Mexico/Argentina/Uruguay/Colombia/Brazil) Net Investment Income Plan and Projection.


Work closely with individual countries finance counterparts and asset sector managers (Portfolio management unit) to obtain inputs (investment results per sector, cash flows) to run the projections model.


Gain in-depth understanding of all outputs from the model and provide a well analyzed & detailed attribution of the results to senior management.


Support IF team on QFS process (review and analysis of actual NII results).


Ad-hoc requests. Analyze and implement process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 4years total experience in Accounting/Finance/Investments.


In order to post for this position, you need the proper work authorization to work in the country where the position is located and not require relocation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.


CPA, CMA or MBA a plus.


Working knowledge of business Intelligence tools.


Bloomberg – preferred.


Knowledge of MetLife Reporting environment (HFM/PeopleSoft/Hyperion) – a plus.


Understanding of SQL queries is preferred.


Possess strong analytical and organizational skills.


Skilled in understanding computer systems environments to access needs and improve capabilities as necessary.


Ability to partner with people both in own unit and throughout the organization (and of various levels).


Aptitude in building and adjusting spreadsheet models/databases is a plus.


Flexibility to work additional hours during peak times.

Required Education

BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting or other areas of expertise.
