POSITION
This is a full-time or part-time paid Marketing Intern position with an emphasis in Information Technology (IT). The position is ideal for someone who has or is pursuing a Marketing degree with a background in Information Technology or experience with technology. On-the-job training and real world experience will be provided. Our Marketing Intern position works with and handles email campaigns, press releases, target marketing, customer interaction and sales. Creativity and dynamic thinking is encouraged. Social and outgoing personalities will thrive in this position. He/She will work with technical staff to gain knowledge and background of the SMS core business. Strong verbal and written skills are necessary for this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Create Marketing documentation.


• Utilize tools to draft press releases and blog posts. You will also be the liaison for events with stakeholders and customers.


• Work on brand campaign deliverables and launching campaigns within our Sales Department.


• Focus on the audit, process development and update of collateral assets that are released into the market.


• Work with market research, analytics, data and reporting.


• Development of marketing campaigns and strategies.


• Generate leads and manage prospect qualification.


• Assist in the development of sales prospects.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1-2 years of Marketing experience.


• Great customer service skills.


• Have excellent written and verbal communication skill.


• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar field.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites including Excel.


• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Understanding of Information Technology such as servers, networking and virtualization.


• HTML Marketing.


• Email Marketing campaigns.
